Mission Statement
The Upper Merion Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) is dedicated to exploring and promoting ways to establish a more environmentally sustainable community. The EAC evaluates issues regarding regulatory initiatives and potentially hazardous sites to support and advise the township's Board of Supervisors, commissions, and personnel and works with the community and regional organizations to foster environmental education and champion natural resource conservation.

Goals
Our goals are to:
  • Make regulatory recommendations, such as improving township recycling, encouraging sustainable building, and evaluating future development sites for sustainable building
  • Increasing education and awareness through web communications, community activities, and TV specials
  • Supporting natural resource conservation and remediation through monitoring of the superfund site remediation and preventing future contamination
