May 18, 2022 – The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists that a right lane closure is planned on Wednesday, May 18, and Thursday, May 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on northbound N. Gulph Road between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202 in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County for drilling operations.
This work is related to construction currently underway to widen and improve the Turnpike between milepost 324 and milepost 326.
Motorists should use caution and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic approaching this area.
Digital message signs will also provide information on closures and detours. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions. The scheduled activities will be pushed back to the following day/evening in the event of any cancellations.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is widening and reconstructing two miles of the Pennsylvania Turnpike from the Valley Forge Service Plaza (Milepost 324) to the Valley Forge Interchange (Milepost 326) in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County.
