Deer Management

The deer population in Upper Merion is very large and has caused many problems from property damage to traffic accidents. There is no “quick fix” for this issue; however, Upper Merion Township has authorized bow hunting by the Chester Valley Deer Management Association on Township-owned properties in hopes of alleviating the issues of concerned residents.

When will this occur?

• The archery season for southeast Pennsylvania is 9/21/2024 through 1/25/2025. Allowable hunting hours are from the ½ hour before sunrise until the ½ hour after sunset.
