The Upper Merion Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of mini-grants for local nonprofit organizations working to support Upper Merion Township residents facing crisis situations, particularly those impacted by homelessness. These grants, ranging from $250 to $5,000, are designed to assist community organizations in their efforts to help individuals, families, and children in need.
Application Deadline: December 4, 2024, at 5:00PM
Organizations interested in applying for a mini-grant must submit a proposal that includes a detailed letter of request. The funding for selected projects will be issued in December 2024/January 2025.
How to Apply:
Your letter of request should include the following sections:
- Introduction
- Provide a brief overview of your organization, including your mission and goals.
- Summarize your proposed project and the amount of funding you are requesting.
- Highlight the skills and experience that make your organization well-suited to receive the grant.
- Statement of Need
- Explain the specific problems or crises your organization addresses, particularly those related to homelessness and other urgent needs within the Upper Merion Township community.
- Use data and examples directly related to individuals, families, and children in Upper Merion to emphasize the need for funding.
- Clarify why this funding is crucial to your work.
- Project Description
- Describe the activities your project will involve and how they will directly assist those in need.
- Provide a timeline for implementation and include the participants involved in your project.
- Outcomes
- Define what success will look like for your project.
- Explain how the mini-grant will help your organization achieve measurable, impactful results and make a difference for the Upper Merion community.
- Budget
- Include an itemized budget outlining how the funds will be allocated for your project activities.
Submit Your Proposal:
All proposals must be submitted no later than 5:00PM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Please email your proposal to Gerri Vattimo at gvattimo@umtownship.org.
Proposals will be reviewed by the Upper Merion Foundation Board, and the selected grant recipients will be notified in December 2024.
