The purpose of the Economic and Community Development Committee (ECDC) is to examine the short-term and long-term economic and community development needs of the township. It recommends to the Board of Supervisors strategies and projects that will provide sound economic development and a stronger sense of community to the township. It also encourages communication between the township and businesses located in the township regarding economic and community development issues.
The committee strives to develop working relationships with local state and federal agencies that can provide economic and community development resources to the township.
In conjunction with the Township, the Economic and Community Development Committee resolves to make recommendations on, and advocate for, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the services, policies, practices, and procedures afforded to our Township and its residents. Our mission is to recognize, celebrate, and promote the awareness of our differences, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, disability, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or religious beliefs. Collaborative efforts and partnerships between Township affiliates and residents will be necessary to achieve our mission, to stimulate continuous growth, development, and education, and to ensure a safe and inclusive community.
