The public open house / workshop for the Upper Merion Township Sanitary & Stormwater Authority is built around the idea of allowing residents to come in, see what the Authority has been engaged in, review the results of a 1995 stormwater management study that has been updated, and most importantly offer their thoughts, comments, concerns, and questions all regarding stormwater management in the Township.
The meeting will be “open house” style, so no long winded or technical lectures by anyone. There will be a brief introduction by the Authority of recent efforts related to stormwater, and then visitors will be able to circulate through a number of “stations” offering maps, facts, potential projects, study exhibits, etc. that they can engage township representatives in one on one conversations.
The feedback from this event is invaluable to the Authority as they plot their course forward to meet water quality goals (with DEP and EPA), protect the public and safety from flooding, and ensure that the township’s stormwater program engages in cost effective, sustainable solutions and services.
