The purpose of the Farmers Market Advisory Board is to:
- Initiate, provide, and recommend to the Board of Supervisors plans for the operation and management of the Upper Merion Farmers Market
- Assist with the proper management, care, and control of the Farmers Market and its finances, and thereby advise the Board of Supervisors on all matters pertaining to the Farmers Market, including each fiscal year’s proposed operating and revenue budgets
- Assist in the success and growth of the Farmers Market by reviewing events, activities, trends, and new innovative ideas for future years, and develop a strategic plan for the operations of the Farmers Market that will include short and long term goals
- Contribute to the success of local food growers and producers and create vibrant community gatherings and contribute to the health and welfare of the Township and its citizens
